Elijah Maxey is an efficiency-driven individual capable of learning anything thrown his way. Any task given to him is done in a timely manner and approached with utmost detail. He finds his love for art in lighting design. Beginning his work in the field back in his sophomore year of high school, he aims to make it his career. He has designed five shows at Klein High School including Arcadia, Ugly Lies The Bone, Mamma Mia!, Anastasia, and The Last Lifeboat. Currently, he is pursuing a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with a focus on lighting design at Pennsylvania State University. Elijah has worked at a couple of theaters where he works the lights, sound, fly's, and load-ins and outs. These theaters include the Eisenhower Auditorium at Penn State, where he is working right now, and the Klein HS Auditorium. Outside of theatre Elijah has many notable and related hobbies. Another art related focus is music, primarily Choir. He participated in choir all throughout middle and high school, and now college as well, in the Penn State University Choir. Another one of his favorite activities is watching movies. He loves watching them then rating and reviewing them on Letterboxd. Overall Elijah is someone who is passionate in his work and personal life, driven to do imaginative things, collaborative with anyone, and responsible in any setting he is approached with.
